Deciding what pictures to purchase can be a daunting task indeed. Obviously you need to start with what you like. I include pictures on my website that I may not view as the perfect picture technically (focus, clarity, etc) but that I think may have meaning to you as the viewer. The perfect header, tackle or catch may be the one you want even if it is not perfect to the trained eye, after all it is your memory!
I use Bayphoto for prints. I selected them because they provide such high quality printing. This makes for more expensive processing, in my view, clearly worth the extra cost. I believe in Bayphoto to the point that in spite of my own high level printer at home that I often order prints from them for my own collection. If you would like to know more about them you can visit their website at http://www.bayphoto.com/
When I crop a picture I do it in the way that I believe gives optimal view of the particular scene. That may or may not give you the proper aspect ratio to get the size print that you want. It is impossible for me to crop for all aspect ratios. Please make certain that you review the picture that you have ordered to confirm proper cropping. If it doesn't work, contact me (slimentani@carolinas.org) with the size print that you want and I will try to accommodate you. I will need the detailed picture description to find it. This can be found under photo info for the particular picture.
What should you order? Personal preference of course rules! But what are the options? All printing is performed on Kodak ENDURA paper.
This is a special technique where there is no visible dot pattern. It is a process of making fine art prints from a digital source using ink jet printing. If there is an image that you want to make into a large portrait quality framed print then this approach although costly is worth considering.
If after all of the above you are still having problems making decisions or with other issues, please fell free to contact me.
Rather than purchase prints, you have the option to download individual jpegs from which you can create your own print or use as a facebook profile picture. Whatever you use it for, this is a cost effective way of obtaining your images. If you would like to use the images commercially, please contact me regarding price.
Let's hope it gets good ones soon!
